What is a Sod Roller?

A sod roller is piece of equipment that is used to flatten or smooth out sod or soil.

Sod rollers can be handheld or pulled behind a machine such as a tractor or lawn mower. It is easy to learn how to use a sod roller.

A sod roller is most often filled with water to provide additional weight. The water can then be drained to make it lighter for transport or storage.

For the "do it yourself" crowd, a sod roller can be purchased or found at a rental equipment store.
